A number of you have asked how to change the language settings inside your Mundia account. While Mundia will make an educated guess at your country and language settings, it’s super easy to change these if you need to.
Just log into your Mundia account and click on the “My Account” link located on the top right of the page. This will take you to the “Account Settings” page where you can edit your “Site Preferences”. Changing your language is as easy as clicking the “Edit” link and selecting your language and country preferences from a drop down list.
This means that it’s no problem to invite family members to help you grow your tree even if they speak a different language to you. When you add a relative to your tree, you are given the opportunity to invite your relative to join your tree. Before sending an invitation, you can choose the invitation language from a drop down box.
When your relative opens the invitation email and clicks the link provided, Mundia will automatically detect their country and open Mundia in the same language as the invitation you sent. Also when your relative accepts the invitation by registering their free account, they will have the option to manually customize their preferred country and language settings.
We want to make it as easy as possible for you to connect with your family from around the world, no matter your family’s location or language. Thanks for your feedback and keep it coming!
